Career Experience

Sr. User Experience Designer, Vivid Seats – August 2013 – Current

Art direction and user experience / user interface design. Daily maintenance and improvement of the Vivid Seats website. Front End Development including HTML5, CSS3, jQuery – utilizing the Bootstrap framework. Refine and iterate user experience by designing and implementing new modules and interfaces. UI/UX development to create a seamless customer experience for a high traffic e-commerce website.

Director of Web Development, Vertex Software Corporation, Inc. – February 2010 – April 2013

Responsible for all web development, graphic design, and art direction for Vertex software and interactive projects. Manage team of web developers and designers to meet project deadlines Front end web development using standards based HTML5 and CSS3 working with jQuery/jQuery mobile in conjuntion with a proprietary .NET driven CMS. Meet with clients to determine website goals and develop strategies for creating a strong web presense. Spearheaded adoption of new principles such as responsive design, fluid grids, and adaptive design.

Web Designer, Doxia Web Design, LLC – September 2008 – December 2009

Responsibilities include designing and developing standards based websites in XHTML, CSS, PHP, Flash utilizing static, dynamic, ecommerce, and content management systems. Other responsibilities include meeting with clients and potential clients, updating existing client sites, and photographing client needs.

Curatorial Technician, South Bend Museum of Art – August 2007 – July 2008

Based on an eleven month grant – job responsibilities included photographing and archiving the permanent collection, installation and de-installation of all exhibitions, and creating various design and web related projects for marketing and education.
