Austin, Texas 2011

This series of photos is an assorted mix of shots from in and around the Austin area. The long panorama is from Pedernales Falls State Park. The peacocks are from Mayfield Park Nature Reserve near Mount Bonnell. The photos of the African animals were taken at the Serengeti Resort in Bergheim, Texas. My wife and I got a great living social deal to stay there for an evening. They have a huge fenced in area where you can drive around in a golf cart and pull right up to the free-roaming animals. They have a giraffe, zebra, camel, several ostrich, gazelle, and other grazing animals. It was a really great experience being able to get that close to such exotic animals. Lately, I've been shooting more classic landscapes and natural settings, however, I am planning on going back to my roots and doing another overgrown series soon.
